A New Classic single “How To Buy Happiness” by Modern Guilt

23 November 2022

“How To Buy Happiness.” A classic for eternity

On Friday, November 11, 2022, the epic new song “How To Buy Happiness” by Modern Guilt was released. The London-based group, which has received support from people like Steve Lamacq (BBC 6Music), John Kennedy (Radio X), Jess Iszatt (BBC Introducing London), and Jim Gellatly (Amazing Radio), “are re-igniting and modernizing their era and genre influences in a bright flame of color” (Listen to Discover).

“How To Buy Happiness,” a Mikey Buckley production, is a hopeless tale of desperation and longing. It tells the tale of a man who believes that having enough money will make him happy and how he pursues that idea. The music creates a cool mix of Americana and garage rock.

The band’s debut performance video was captured by acclaimed filmmaker Ross Scott for the new single, which has a brand-new video that pays homage to spaghetti western classics and the Coen brothers’ “No Country for Old Men” in both style and character.

With a unique single launch concert held at The Old Blue Last in East London on Thursday, November 10, with special guests, art, video, and more, “How To Buy Happiness” was released digitally on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Modern Guilt are doing an outstanding job. Their music has already reached a stage of maturity that makes it both distinctive and self-assured in its goals. (Chalkpit Records).

“Never question the band’s capacity to create music that is so addictive that it sticks to your ear canals like glue.” The Clunk Magazine.
