Europe-based Duo Anaté releases its commercial pop-tune

Pop duo Anaté’s new vibe is “I want you.” 

Anaté is a collaboration between singer-songwriter Ana and producer Andrea. Their musical style is defined by a downtempo influence, yet it covers a variety of genres. Influences recognizable in their music include iconic bands such as HooverphonicMassive Attack, and Morcheeba on the production side, while vocal melodies and harmonies remind of artists such as SadeDido, and Amy LeeAnaté’s music has a distinctly smooth pop sound with fresh hints of trip-hop, indie, and many more genres flowing through. Ana, the singer, and songwriter of the project is living between ParisFrance, and Berlin, Germany. She has been trained in classical piano since a young age.

After finishing high school, she was involved in different musical projects as a lead singer/songwriter and keyboard player. Anate kept writing music independently and performing in Paris until meeting producer Delman and starting the Anaté project together. Andrea, who lives in MilanItaly, takes care of the production. He performed as a guitarist with several local bands from the early 2000s until 2015 when he decided to focus on producing local artists and writing his own music. The duo met in Bruxelles in early 2019, quickly realized they shared the same vision musically and immediately started writing together. They recorded over 20 songs in 12 months of collaboration – happening largely remotely. 

Flowing with smooth synth lines and enhanced with bopping percussion, Pop duo Anaté released a new single, “I Want You,” on December 2, 2022, the second single on their second EP, Fume. The song “I Want You” starts up slowly with full intent on building up anticipation, and once it opens up, the perfectly linear beat drags your feet into dance while Ana’s vocals twirl up more and more of that exhilaratingupbeat feeling that makes you want to dance throughout the night. 

Anaté’s “I Want You” is a feel-good pop song that diverges from the artist’s typical melancholic style. Originally written on the piano, the song has been given a new lease on life with an upbeat and easy-going production process.
