Born in Denver, with deep roots in Nigeria, Arelle Tones (pronounced “Are – El”) is an artist whose journey to musical success is as unique as his sound. Growing, Arelle was surrounded by the rich and diverse music collection of his Nigerian parents. This early exposure to different genres laid the foundation for his eclectic taste, blending the rhythmic energy of Afrobeats with the urban flair of American hip-hop. Arelle’s passion for music began in school, where he would casually write rhymes. However, it wasn’t until his college years that his career took shape when he recorded his first song and sent it to Denver’s biggest hip-hop station, KS1075 FM, gaining his first taste of recognition. Encouraged by this success, Arelle delved deeper into his Nigerian roots.
After his mother returned from a trip to Nigeria with VCDs of Afrobeat icons like Davido and Wizkid, he found inspiration in the new wave of Afrobeat stars such as Olamide and Patoranking. This connection to his heritage became a driving force in his music. Arelle experimented with fusing Afrobeat rhythms with his American influences, a journey that would later define his sound. Though he initially hesitated after early remix projects, a dream reignited his passion, pushing him back into the studio where he refined his artistry. By collaborating with local artists, founding the indie label “Rora Music”, and performing at local shows, Arelle began to carve out a space for himself in the Denver music scene.
His performances, which opened for international superstars like Burna Boy and Jidenna, showcased his growing potential as a leader in cross-genre fusion music. Arelle Tones has built an impressive catalog of collaborations and releases that highlight his versatility and growth as an artist. His notable collaboration with Ghanaian artist Esi Chelle on the powerful track “Save Us” in 2020 resonated deeply with Black communities around the world, addressing themes of self-doubt and empowerment. The song’s accompanying video, released in 2021, gained nearly 400,000 views on YouTube, marking a significant achievement for Arelle.
He then released a calm, fall-inspired song called “Proof,” which gained attention on Denver’s KUVO 89.3 FM and solidified his place in the local music industry. In 2021, he collaborated with fellow Nigerian musician Bvnk in Denver on “You Know,” a vibrant spring single that demonstrated his capacity to combine vibrant energy with profound lyrical content. Recorded in Nigeria and accompanied by a video shot there, his song “Electrical” became well-known and even led to him opening for Grammy Award-winning musician Burna Boy. Through these partnerships and singles, Arelle Tone’s status as a boundary-pushing musician with a distinct voice in the mashup of hip-hop and Afrobeat has been cemented.

What immediately stands out in “Move 2” is the fusion of genres, giving the song a sound that’s both familiar and refreshingly unique. Arelle Tones has successfully infused a hip-hop structure with the textured richness of Afrobeat, creating a transcendent experience. The opening guitar riff, drenched in reverb, introduces the listener to a dreamy, immersive atmosphere, soon accompanied by vocals that feel soft yet commanding. Ty Klass’ entrance on the hook brings a smooth, celestial quality that perfectly complements the instrumental backdrop. His vocal presence, delicate yet impactful, adds a level of intimacy to the track that elevates it beyond the standard hip-hop formula.
Arelle Tones, stepping in with his rap verses, strikes a perfect balance with Ty Klass’ vocal performance. The song’s catchy, melodic hook and Arelle’s rhythmic, intense rap delivery both flow together so naturally that it’s clear the two are a great team. In contrast to the song’s gentle tone, Arelle’s lines are full of raw fury, giving the apparently laid-back atmosphere a sharp edge. His ability to strike this harmonious mix of vigor and serenity is evidence of his development as a lyricist and a master at creating engrossing soundscapes.
The production on “Move 2” is meticulous and well-executed, but it also has an organic vibe that gives it a sense of being both personal and professional. A laid-back, downtempo beat that builds gradually throughout the song is produced by a fusion of mellow piano melodies, light percussion, and hip-hop drum beats. Certain instrumental layers are carefully balanced so that each element can be heard clearly without overpowering the others. A compelling atmosphere that invites listeners to fully immerse themselves in the music is created by the harmonious combination of the bass, drums, and different melodies.
The way “Move 2” always keeps up a soothing yet fascinating groove is among its most alluring features. The song gradually builds its momentum through the interaction of instruments and vocals rather than depending on dramatic shifts or loud climaxes to hold the listener’s attention. Because of this method, the song flows organically, luring listeners to lose themselves in its mellow mood and rhythm. Whether played in the background or in the forefront of a setting, “Move 2” manages to command attention without being overbearing, making it an ideal track for any chill or social gathering.
Arelle Tones and Ty Klass also deserve praise for their vocal dynamics. Ty Klass’ hook is the heart of the song, providing a sensual and soothing presence that contrasts beautifully with Arelle’s more energetic rap delivery. Their vocal harmony adds a layer of depth to the track, with each artist complementing the other rather than competing for dominance. This collaboration highlights the melodic strengths of Ty Klass and the lyrical prowess of Arelle, bringing out the best in both performers. None of the artists overshadows the other, and together they provide a sound that seems complete and harmonious.
“Move 2” isn’t trying to be excessively complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. The song’s power comes from its ability to transmit feel and emotion through instrumentation and delivery. Using his voice as an instrument to fit into the overall vibe of the music, Arelle Tones concentrates on flow and feel. A song that is delightful in the moment and stays with you long after it finishes is one that has a catchy hook that is repeated throughout to ensure that the listener remembers it. Because it makes it possible for listeners to connect with the music viscerally, this song’s simplicity is essential to its infectiousness.
“Move 2” is a standout release that highlights Arelle Tones’ potential as a leader in cross-genre fusion music. It’s the kind of song that effortlessly blends vibes and energy, making it a versatile track that can be enjoyed in multiple settings. The collaborative chemistry between Arelle Tones and Ty Klass is undeniable, and their combined talents make “Move 2” a memorable end-of-summer anthem.
