Carlos Ucedda – Pelografía

Carlos Ucedda’s latest single, “Pelografía”, released on 25th February 2026, is a masterclass in genre blending and vocal experimentation. Rooted in lyrical and operatic traditions, Ucedda expands his palette into electronic, synthpop, disco pop, and house techno, delivering a track that is both corporeal and ethereal. From the first note, the song establishes an intimate yet expansive atmosphere, balancing delicate melodies with driving synths, creating a soundscape that feels simultaneously grounded and dreamlike.

The track’s production showcases Ucedda’s meticulous attention to detail. Minimalist verses allow the vocals to carry the emotional core, while choruses bloom into layered, vibrant textures, reflecting the duality of introspection and outward expression. Synth driven rhythms pulsate throughout, providing tension and movement, while ethereal electronic touches evoke the shimmering, reflective qualities of glam aesthetics. There is an unmistakable 1980s inspired undertone, with nods to synth textures reminiscent of early pop pioneers, yet Ucedda makes these influences distinctly his own.

Vocally, Ucedda navigates a wide spectrum of dynamics. His delivery carries a raw vulnerability that enhances the lyrical narrative, conveying both longing and resilience. Moments of fragile introspection contrast with confident, self affirming bursts. Lines like “I am so fabulous” emerge almost as a declaration of identity, bridging insecurity and empowerment. This duality mirrors the thematic content of the song: the exploration of childhood curiosity, self discovery, and gender and sexual identity, particularly within the LGBTQ+ experience. Ucedda’s lyrics create a deeply personal story of a sensitive, contemplative child navigating dreams, desires, and self acceptance.

Ucedda’s metaphorical touches and modernist approach to lyrics elevate the song beyond conventional pop frameworks, creating a reflective and immersive listening experience.
