Deeptrak happens to be an extremely dynamic DJ duo based in London. Over the last twenty years, their paths have crossed to develop a very creative as well as a working relationship. They are known for their true love for house music and Deeptrak’s style is centered on being upbeat and creating nostalgia around an old-school house sound with modern, fresh elements. They have enabled themselves to carve a unique niche for themselves in the field of electronic music. The very two have met at the vigorous and colourful London music scene where they have been brought together by a mutual desire to merge different forms of house music into one.
This is what led them to found Deeptrak about eight years back. This collaboration has flourished within the years that have yielded a lot of songs which the world audience feels. The sound that has made Deeptrak stand out is the smooth blending of the new with the already known. Their songs are inspired by the vast history of house music, which is imbued with timeless rhythms and memorable hooks, innovative production techniques, and modern noises.
It creates a beautiful musical experience that is nostalgic but at the same time futuristic. Deeptrak has been rich in inspiration and styles through the years of collaboration. Their fans are faithful and varied, thanks to their partnerships that have improved their acoustics and increased their appeal. Through continuous commitment and adaptability with change, Deeptrak has established themselves as a stalwart in the electronic music scene.
That was the onset of allure and excitement by an enticing rush of sounds: familiar and pleasantly unfamiliar at the same time, the most brilliant part of which played the first pitch of “The Truth-E” by Deeptrak, featuring Mark Dedross and Mary Lova. This single was released on May 31, 2024 and is the monument to Deeptrak’s exploration of new avenues of production in a classic house song tailored for a variety of senses.
I was instantly captivated by enticing sounds when I hit play one afternoon on “The Truth” by Deeptrak, featuring Mark Dedross and Mary Lova’ released on 31 May 2024. This single is a monument to Deeptrak’s ability to fuse avant-garde production approaches with classic house components so as to create a song that speaks to a multitude of senses.
Mary Lova’s vocals are most certainly mind-blowing. Soulful, sweet, her voice takes the pretty intricate instrumentation easily and thus immediately adds an emotional depth that is beguiling. When she voices the words written by Grant, one can sense the sincerity and passion with which she brings them. I just got lost in her performance, appreciating every up and down that she graces through with her delicate but powerful delivery. The ad-lib male vocals perfectly complement her since they add an exotic and fragile touch to this overall sound.
The best part of the song for me is at 0:31 as it changes from those piano chords into a funkier style and enters the domain of vocal harmonies, ad-libs, and everything stretched that way to broaden the dynamic of the song. It really turns into quite a lush, deep soundscape by the time we reach 1:02. By the soaring piano chords, lovely string melodies, and funky bass noises, it comes together into an irresistible, upbeat, and exuberant groove. You can see Deeptrak’s deft production very clearly in the seamless transition that actually sounds totally organic.
A fresh take on The Truth is contained in the Husky remix known as the Beach Club Mix, which I found equally potent. It’s bright and warm from the silky pads to the gliding lead melodies and big percussions, all inspired mostly from the Afro style. This kind works with sunshine on your face and fills your very soul with music – pulling one to close eyes and envision having the sand run over one’s toes. A remix like this will capture some aspects of the original and then amplify and attenuate different parts to create a new hearing experience, thus propounding the adaptability of the original composition.
“The Truth” speaks to every human being in self-discovery and authenticity. Here is introspection and a yearning for real talk in this music-it moves you. It is really a shining example of honesty and emotional depth in a society too often showcasing superficiality. And it is the reminder that music can join us together and share some of our most intimate emotions with one another.
This is now beyond a song; it’s an experience – Deeptrak’s “The Truth.” It’s infectious from the first note to the last moment, nicely confusing, with mature grooves and soulful vocals that touch carefully the subjects. One for everyone who appreciates house music, from the freshman to the lifetime listener. Great words on the whole creative vision of Deeptrak and what they are able to do live-creating edifying classics and modern tunes. It reminded me of why I first loved house music when I heard “The Truth,” as it made me feel so intense about the meaning of the song. Deeptrak have once again shown their capabilities, and I can’t wait to see where their journey leads.
