Kyle Knight is a versatile hip-hop artist who began his musical Journey when he was 7 years old in his father’s home studio, where he learned songwriting and production. He has a diverse Fan base spanning The United States, The United Kingdom, China, Vietnam, and Africa.
Over the years Kyle has shared his talents on some notable stages such as Harlem Week, Hip-hop Weekly, Cleveland Teen Summit, the Iconic Harlem Shrine Stage, Black Spectrum Theatre, Queens’ World’s Fair, the Hair Radio Expo, DecTV Studios, and Music Choice headquarters. His musical performance spread across clubs in New York and Carolina.
Aside music, Kyle visits schools across the U.S. in locations such as Georgia, South Carolina, The Midwest, and his hometown New York inspiring the Youth to believe in themselves and their dreams. Kyle uses his music as a tool to spark and create positivity.

To begin with, let’s review your recent work. What is the Inspiration behind “Dont Change”
The drive to rise and inspire is the source of the vivid inspiration for my upcoming track with Dequan Barnes. We set out to build something that addresses the essential value of integrity and loyalty of love and relationships to oneself. In other words, people today tend to lose their identities due to societal expectations. We want everyone to recognize their value and never accept anything less, and this song serves as a reminder of that.
What is the inspiration behind the lyrics?
The lyrics’ themes of self-love and self-appreciation serve as their motivation. Dequan and I exchanged all of our thoughts and meticulously used every word. There was a goal, a purpose, and one shouldn’t be scared to ask for and strive to get what they believe they are worth in life and/or in love. Conversations about our families and ourselves inspired the lyrics. The main theme of the song is challenging our conceptions of love and progressing toward understanding the kind of love one truly desires.
This is quite a huge project for you, what does it mean to you as an individual?
This album/project represents my growth both as a person and as an artist, and it means the world to me. Secondly i have to say having Dequan Barnes and Chris Killebrew engaged in this project and journey makes it more meaningful as we create music that motivates, inspire and drive to love and appreciate who they are unabashedly.
Could you describe how this release is different from your previous work and where this one belongs in the sequence of your career?
This album represents a turning point in my musical career since it deviates from my earlier efforts, which were more concerned with conscious narrative with an underground hip-hop vibe. Our most recent project takes a more approachable, upbeat, and mainstream approach while maintaining a deeper, more significant message with a dance-able energy. I adore it because, to me, it’s like fusing my poetic heritage with a wider sound that may perhaps reach a larger audience.
What do you wish people to get from “Don’t Change”?
I hope by listening to this song listeners can feel inspired and empowered. I want people always to feel a sense of assurance, to feel that it’s okay to be who they truly are without compromising themselves for the sake of anyone. if this can be accomplished then I’ll will know we’ve achieved something special.
Is there a particular song other than this one, you are keen on that seems to communicate your message best and why?
Aside from my new single, Don’t Change, my previous track, Hey Now Now, captures my message well because it has the same combination of infectious energy and deeper lyrical depth. Listeners are invited to enjoy the song’s uplifting vibe as well as the contemplative message it carries.
What are some of the difficulties you encountered and some of the highlights in the making process of “Don’t Change”?
One of the most difficult aspects of developing this music was striking a balance between the profundity of the message and making it mainstream enough to get people grooving. However, this challenge turned out to be a highlight because we were able to complete it with the assistance of Dequan and Killa. Bringing this song to reality and accomplishing the combination of inspiration and entertainment has truly been one of the pleasures of my career so far.
How do you see this project fitting in with the present stage of your life both as an individual and an artist?
So, I feel like this project is a wonderful fit for where I am in my life right now. I’m all about growth, optimism, and pushing my music to new heights while remaining true to myself, and “Don’t Change” portrays this perfectly. I am not scared to change or conform to all sorts of societal pressure, both in my music profession and as a person.
Since you released “Don’t Change” what has the reaction of the fans been?
Fans’ reaction to Don’t Change has been priceless. People connected with the message of the song and it’s been very rewarding to see how the song resonated on a personal level with listeners, reminding me of why I’m at music in the first place. I’ve had a lot of fans lately reach out to me on social media telling me how they connected with “Don’t Change” especially being that we are living in today’s society where people are being forced into accepting things they don’t want and forced into being who they don’t want to be. So I’m really glad fans connected with “Don’t change” on a personal level.

Where does this new release sit in the thick of those works in loads and loads of other work?
In the grand scheme of my music career “Don’t Change” sits right in the intersection between where I was and where I’m headed. It carries a blend of my roots in hip-hop lyrically along with a new and more accessible vibe that appeals to the wider audience. It’s fair to say this is a stepping stone towards a new era of my music.
What’s next for you after this release? Are there any new projects or surprises that are coming soon?
Our music video for “Dont Change” is predicted to be released later in the fall of this year, so I urge fans to keep up to date on our social media platforms so as not to miss out on vital details. We will disclose information on our release dates there.
How do you cope with responsibilities of being an artist while having a personal life?
Time has always been a crucial factor in everything I do, and being able to manage it has allowed me to adjust to the task at hand therefore making it a natural process. My family and close friends have always shown their support to me in many ways in remarkable ways. Being able to spend time at the studio for at least 20 hours a week has really kept me on top of my game and I devote the rest of my quality time to family and building myself. To be able to achieve anything, time should always be a managed asset in anyone’s life.
What is one thing that your fans do not know about you but would want to reveal?
One thing I can definitely say for sure most fans do not about me is that I started music at the age of 7 in my dad’s home studio. What I started off in that little home studio turned out to be something bigger than I ever imagined and those early days of my music career have shaped who I have become today as a music artist.
Would you like to add any concluding thoughts to your fans or new listeners hearing about you for the first time?
To my amazing fans out there I wish to say thank you for riding on this journey with me, I would not be here without your support. And to every new listeners who is just getting to know about me and my music I say welcome to our family, “Don’t change” is just the beginning of a new chapter and I cant wait to see where it takes us.
