FiveSidedDice is the independent endeavor of Roscoe Nefdt, a versatile musician hailing from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Since he was a child, Roscoe has been perfecting his musical skills, playing guitar, drums, synthesizer, bass guitar, and vocals. Known for his work with the band Undead Generation, Roscoe has performed at the National Arts Festival and numerous other large festivals across the Eastern Cape. Through his independent label, FiveSidedRecords, he organizes festivals, benefit concerts, and national tours within South Africa. Currently, Roscoe is performing acoustic gigs in Northamptonshire, England. He has also made appearances on South African radio stations, including Algoa FM and BayFM, representing both Undead Generation and FiveSidedDice.
On June 16th, 2024, the release of “Silly Songs For Clever Girls” represented a major achievement for FiveSidedDice. This EP showcases the many talents of Roscoe. His great expertise is apparent in this EP, recorded at FiveSidedRecords studio in Gqeberha, South Africa and then mixed and mastered in a home studio in Northamptonshire, England. The production process, conducted in two different locations, showcases Roscoe’s dedication to his craft and emphasizes the EP’s worldwide collaboration, despite the technical hurdles encountered during its development.

In spite of these technical challenges, the end result is a tribute to their dedication, showcasing a smooth combination of various musical inspirations and top-notch production standards. The EP’s sound is polished yet retains a raw, unfiltered essence that is often lost in overproduced music.
