“Homesick,” a story of a person’s Journey to discover themselves by Love Ghost
Love Ghost is a mysterious and ethereal band that has made waves in the music industry. They recently returned from performing at the Rockpalast festival in Germany, where they followed in the footsteps of Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, and R.E.M. They toured Mexico City in August, performing at both Auditorium BB and Amazon’s Gamergy Festival, which was broadcast throughout Latin America.
Their music is influenced by Seattle tradition and the fearlessness of the Soundcloud era, and their live shows are electric and entrancing. Love Ghost has toured extensively, performing in major cities around the world. They have worked with artists from all over the world, including Mexico, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Germany, and Russia. The band is made up of Finnegan Bell, Daniel Gallardo, Daniel Alcala, and Cory Batchier.
Love Ghost was founded by Finnegan Bell. Finn began playing guitar and singing when he was 11 years old. By the age of 13, he had created a SoundCloud and YouTube account and began uploading his own music and videos. Soon after, he began performing acoustic shows in backyards and small venues. In 2014, he performed at a venue called “Room 5” for the first time.
Daniel Gallardo is a 22-year-old Los Angeles musician. He started playing the drums at the age of six and quickly discovered music to be his passion. That passion has taken him to Vans Warped Tour stages, across the United States, and into sessions with some of his favorite artists. He is a member of Love Ghost, bringing his knowledge and passion for the arts to the writing room and the stage.
Daniel Alcala began playing the guitar at the age of eight. Starting as a bedroom guitarist, he is now a multi-talented musician with a comprehensive background in formal music education and live performances all over the West Coast. Daniel, who comes from a family of Filipino animators and directors, not only expresses his artistry as a singer-songwriter while incorporating lyrical guitar playing as an essential part of his sound.
Cory Batchier is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist. He has toured the country with various artists and fronts his own band, “Little Trauma,” in addition to playing keyboards in Love Ghost.
Homesick is a modern take on emo and acoustic rock. The song is about a person’s journey to discover themselves. Homesick is Love Ghost’s second Cleopatra Records release, following Dirty Pixx featuring Bali Baby.
“Homesick” is the latest single from Love Ghost, which received praise from Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, FLAUNT, Alternative Press, and others.
