Geena Gangi is a 23-year-old singer, songwriter, screenwriter, actor, and producer from Boston, Massachusetts. The pop singer relocated to Los Angeles on her own to pursue her postgraduate career in entertainment. She is a graduate of media arts production at Emerson College and aspires to create music scripts (often with original music in them) that tell a story in a cinematic way and pull heavily on emotions. Geena does not create music, she creates art. She finds and uses so many different styles and sounds in her music.

She is amazing and could even be the real deal people! Her biggest musical influences are Taylor Swift, Janet Jackson, H.E.R , Prince, Lizzy McAlpine, and soundtrack tunes of classic children’s movies. These singers all represent an unimaginable amount of success and artistry. Geena Gangi has a very strong sense of visual direction in her work as well which could easily make her like all her musical influences. Her music “Sugar Stained” is in reference to being sweet coated, with a sweet outside but bitter middle. She uses poetic phrasing like really believed in this “really believe in that… but it was just sweet nothing” to point a picture that is visceral and potent. Knowing the origin of something gives one a better understanding of it.

The 23-year-old pop singer composed Sugar Stained after she found out that a love who seemed perfect was actually cheating behind her back. Although heartbreaking, Geena did not let a deceitful man take away her power and this song proves it. She writes the story about this too-good-to-be-true relationship and she finds out the truth in a way that does not diminish her own self-worth. Songs about cheaters are tough, and the songstress has found a thin line between heartache, satire, resolution, and comedy that would leave listeners empowered instead of more hurt.

In addition, there is a music video and tons of social media content around this one coming out on release day that’s actually thrilling. Essentially, Gangi is a one-woman show creating and funding all of this on her own so she’d love whatever coverage people see fit for. I’m really proud of this song and would be eternally grateful and satisfied if this was the one that really got me on the map as a professional songwriter/artist. I can’t wait to hear what you think! said the 23-year-old songstress. If you a looking for emotionally soothing music written by creative artists and youthful exuberance, Geena Gangi should be on your radar.
