Experiences of rehabilitation, addiction, criminality, university life, and lengthy psychiatric hospital admissions between 2019 and 2024 eventually became foundations for his songwriting. Now releasing “Blessing In Disguise” as the second single from his debut commercial project, No Promises, Dru Melodics continues to turn lived experience into reflective hip-hop, allowing each song to document another stage of rebuilding.
