Hello everyone, it’s your host Faithfulness, and today I have with me m0n0 jay from Stockholm, Sweden. m0n0 jay is here to share more insight into her musical journey while diving into her latest release, “L.L.L. (ATH Remix),” a bold reimagining of the original single that first introduced listeners to her vibrant Candy Gym universe. Following a breakout debut that generated over 2 million views and earned more than 80 international press features, m0n0 jay returns with a remix that completely transforms the song’s identity. Released on May 21, 2026, exactly 69 days after the original, French producer ATH (Arthur Conseil) has deconstructed “L.L.L.” into a relentless 135+ BPM industrial trance and techno experience, replacing commercial pop structures with heavy basslines and underground rave energy. As the bright neon lights of the Candy Gym fade into darkness, listeners are invited into a heavier and more hypnotic world. What inspired this dramatic transformation? What does it mean for m0n0 jay to take a viral pop anthem into the depths of underground club culture? Let’s find out.
Welcome, m0n0 jay. Before we begin our interview, here is what you need to know about this exciting artist. m0n0 jay is a Stockholm-based artist whose music exists between the gym floor and the underground, blending soaring pop hooks with industrial textures, relentless rhythms, and unapologetic self-expression. Describing her sound as Powerlifter Glitter Gym Pop, she creates music built on strength, movement, presence, and raw authenticity rather than perfection narratives. Her work explores everything from body positivity and empowerment to burnout, self-sabotage, and the realities of the unfiltered mind, creating a world where glitter, sweat, breath, rhythm, and heavy bass coexist without compromise.
The original “L.L.L.” introduced listeners to the Candy Gym, a colorful collision of high-camp pop energy and physical power. For the ATH Remix, m0n0 jay handed the track’s stems to French producer Arthur Conseil, allowing him to completely rebuild the song from the ground up. The remix isolates her piercing soprano vocals and the track’s signature xylophone melody before dropping them into a dark, abrasive trance and techno landscape designed for 3:00 AM basement raves. Following the massive success of her debut, this release serves as a bold statement that m0n0 jay is not confined to one genre or audience. She is using this remix as a bridge between viral alt-pop and legitimate underground club culture, opening the door to a darker electronic era while proving that her artistic vision remains fearless, fluid, and impossible to predict.
Having this brief Introduction, I’m sure new and current fans must be excited about our Interview today.
INTERVIEW
Faithfulness: What moment first defined your “Candy Gym” identity and made it feel like more than just a concept?
m0n0 jay: Hi Faithfulness, thanks for having me on Dulaxi! I think the moment it really clicked was when I custom painted a set of barbell plates in pink, purple, silver and glitter. Once I saw that physical element locked in, I knew that Candy Gym is something that a lot of us need in the modern gym culture. It’s about owning the sheer absurdity of finding your strength in environments that usually try to break you.
Faithfulness: How did your background in physical discipline and music begin to merge into your artistic style?
m0n0 jay: Lifting weights isn’t just physical; it’s deeply rhythmic. You breathe, you brace, you push, and there’s a strict tempo to that exhaustion. When I started executive producing my own music, I realized I didn’t want standard pop beaI wanted the sound design to mimic that feeling you have when pushing yourself to the limits, and others cheering you on the way. Music is such a big part of how I train and show up every day.
Faithfulness: When you describe your sound as “pop from the gym floor to the underground,” what lived experiences sit behind that idea?
m0n0 jay: The reality of being a 37-year-old single mother and corporate marketer who completely self-funds her own artistic universe. The “gym floor” is the intense discipline required to keep all those plates spinning during the day. The “underground” is the absolute, unfiltered psychological release I need when the corporate emails stop and the lights finally go out. I can be myself without a filter.
Faithfulness: Who or what pushed you toward this unapologetically physical, high-camp electronic direction?
m0n0 jay: Honestly, exhaustion with the “clean girl” aesthetic and polite self-improvement culture pushed me here. I got tired of the sanitized versions of fitness and electronic music. I wanted to build something that felt undeniably loud, heavy, and a little dangerous, with layers of context and meaning. With glitter as a part of our armor, all of us can be who we want to be.
Faithfulness: Beyond industry standards, how do you personally define strength in your artistry?
m0n0 jay: For me strength is the ability to say “no,” choose own collaborators, and build resilience to rejection. It’s what helps me smile when receiving polar opposite feedback and what helps me ruffle some feathers by sometimes sliding into people’s DMs to clarify something they wrote on an industry platform. Strength helps me keep the intensity and what’s more – keeping the human voice front and center of the music.
Faithfulness: What was your first reaction when ATH reimagined “L.L.L.” into a 135+ BPM industrial techno track?
m0n0 jay: I sent him stems on a Sunday afternoon and he shared a first version on Monday, I immediately knew he enjoyed the process. ATH completely understood the assignment. He took this catchy, candy-coated vocal hook and dragged it straight into a warehouse. It felt like my original track had grown an evil twin, which is exactly the vibe I was hunting for.
Faithfulness: How did it feel hearing your vocals placed over such abrasive, underground bass textures?
m0n0 jay: It really is a beautiful clash, hearing my vocals cut through those filthy, metallic techno kicks gave the delivery so much authority. It didn’t sound overpowered; it sounded like the vocal was commanding the machinery, and accompanied by literal ear candy of crushed lollipops.
Faithfulness: What does the idea of “Candy Gym when lights go dark” represent for you in this remix era?
m0n0 jay: The daytime Candy Gym is the hype, the bright colors, playful xylophone hooks, and the caffeine kick. The “lights go dark” era is what happens when you’ve burned through the adrenaline and you’re left alone with your demons. It’s the gritty, post-workout reality where true mental processing happens, when you need a trance-like state to reset or recover.
Faithfulness: Why was it important to strip away traditional pop structure for this release?
m0n0 jay: I have been told it still sounds a bit too pop for some of the underground purist, but that’s ok! Mainstream pop is too polite for the story I’m telling right now. When you’re dealing with heavy themes like burnout and mental friction, a standard verse-chorus structure feels restrictive. A 135 BPM trance build-up bypasses your logical brain and forces a physical reaction instead.
Faithfulness: How does releasing the remix exactly 69 days after the original fit into your creative narrative?
m0n0 jay: I love leaving Easter eggs for the people paying close attention! When you fully control the data, you get to dictate the calendar. Waiting exactly 69 days was just a cheeky, tongue-in-cheek nod to the playful, provocative undercurrents of the whole project, which some critics have noticed already with the original release. Gym, strength, sex, power, all given back to the female voice.
Faithfulness: How does this industrial trance direction expand your “POWERLIFTER GLITTER GYM POP” universe?
m0n0 jay: It proves to the Dulaxi readers and the underground scene that this universe has real teeth. It shows that m0n0 jay isn’t a one-trick pony. We can do bright, empowering pop, and we can also drop a punishing, sweat-drenched club weapon without losing our core identity. It works so well on big speakers and I am already planning a couple more club remixes in different styles!
Faithfulness: When you imagine this track in a 3:00 AM basement set, what kind of energy do you picture in the room?
m0n0 jay: Complete, collective catharsis. I picture a dark, strobe-lit room where people are dancing not to look good, but to shake off whatever stress they carried in with them. Just raw, uninhibited release. Drug free, because we are in a doping-controlled sport of powerlifting.
Faithfulness: What surprised you most about your own voice once it was placed in this darker sonic environment?
m0n0 jay: I was surprised that I actually liked all of the vocal chops and effects, and that we could make it sound big without adding layers and more dubs. The breathiness of the vocal delivery held its ground. It didn’t need to shout to be the loudest thing in the room.
Faithfulness: After this darker evolution, where do you see your sound heading next?
m0n0 jay: We are diving even deeper into the shadows. My next original single, “Variant,” drops on June 21st. It’s an intense, industrial-pop club track dealing with SA survival, and it features a 19th-century classical Rachmaninoff intro colliding with a Polish Highlander (Góral) chant. It is going to make some people deeply uncomfortable, but seen.
Faithfulness: What do you want listeners to physically and emotionally feel after hearing “L.L.L. (ATH Remix)” in full?
m0n0 jay: I want them to feel like they just finished a heavy set of deadlifts or run the final mile of a race. Exhausted, exhilarated, and completely purged of whatever was holding them back.
CHECK OUT THE RELEASE OF ‘L.L.L. (ATH Remix)’
HAVING LISTENED TO ‘L.L.L. (ATH Remix)’, HERE ARE MY HONEST THOUGHTS
m0n0 jay’s “L.L.L. (ATH remix)” is a thrilling reinvention that pushes the original track into darker and more immersive territory. Reimagined by French producer ATH, the remix trades conventional pop structures for the relentless drive of industrial techno, creating a hypnotic experience fueled by pounding rhythms and mechanical intensity. The abrasive bassline and distorted textures generate a constant sense of tension, while carefully placed ambient passages provide moments of relief before the track surges forward again. What makes the remix particularly compelling is the contrast between force and fragility. m0n0 jay’s ethereal soprano floats above the aggressive production, adding emotional depth and a dreamlike quality to the track’s industrial landscape. ATH’s meticulous control of pacing, combined with Leo Music Design’s polished sound engineering, ensures every element feels purposeful and immersive. “L.L.L. (ATH remix)” captures the raw spirit of underground rave culture while showcasing m0n0 jay’s unique ability to balance vulnerability, chaos, and artistic sophistication.
