Faithfulness: Ihre Arbeit positioniert Musik konsequent als Erlebnis und nicht nur als Klang. Wann haben Sie begonnen, Ihre Kunst so zu sehen, und wie hat diese Veränderung Ihre Identität als Samaistha geprägt?
Samaistha: Das war von Anfang an meine Intention. Durch viele Meditationen, an denen ich teilgenommen habe und weiterhin teilnehme, habe ich erfahren, wie stark Klänge, Stimmen und Flächen bewusst Gefühle und innere Prozesse auslösen können. Diese Erfahrung hat mich geprägt – und genau das möchte ich mit meiner Musik beim Hörer erreichen.
Faithfulness: Sie beschreiben Ihren Klang als meditativ und repetitiv, als würde er die Zuhörer zu bewusster Wahrnehmung führen. Was hat Sie ursprünglich an dieser Schnittstelle zwischen Klang und innerer Erfahrung fasziniert?
Samaistha: Wir leben in einer schnelllebigen Zeit, in der vieles oberflächlich bleibt und wenig wirklich nachwirkt. Umso wichtiger ist es, sich bewusst Zeit zu nehmen und nach innen zu hören. Dort liegen die eigentlichen Antworten. Meine Musik soll genau diesen Zugang ermöglichen.
Faithfulness: Ihre Musik meidet Trends und algorithmengesteuerte Strukturen. Wie bewusst war diese Entscheidung von Anfang an, und was hat es Sie kreativ abverlangt, diesen Weg beizubehalten?
Samaistha: Das hängt stark mit meiner intuitiven Arbeitsweise zusammen. Ich folge keinen klassischen Songstrukturen wie Vers oder Chorus. Stattdessen gehe ich bewusst in einen meditativen Zustand und beobachte, was in mir entsteht. Mir ist bewusst, dass ich damit weniger Menschen erreiche – aber dafür erreiche ich sie tiefer.
Faithfulness: Es zeugt von einem starken Sinn dafür, wie Sie Ihre Arbeit als „Raum“ und nicht als Hintergrundmusik gestalten. Wie definieren Sie diesen Raum persönlich beim Komponieren?
Samaistha: Dieser Raum entsteht im meditativen Zustand während des Komponierens. Je mehr innere Stille zugelassen wird, desto mehr Raum kann entstehen. Ein Song, der stark auf Hooks setzt, erzeugt oft nur kurzfristige Reize. Meine Musik hingegen öffnet langsam einen inneren Raum, in dem man verweilen kann.
Faithfulness: Hat Ihr Wohnort Aargau in der Schweiz die Stille und Tiefe Ihres Klangs beeinflusst, oder ist dies etwas rein Inneres?
Samaistha: Mein Wohnort spielt dabei kaum eine Rolle. Ich lebe zwar in einem Wohngebiet, habe aber die Natur in unmittelbarer Nähe. Entscheidend ist jedoch mein innerer Drang nach Stille und Ausgleich.
Faithfulness: “Where The Senses Meet“ wirkt eher wie eine Fortsetzung als eine eigenständige Veröffentlichung. Wann wurde Ihnen klar, dass dieses Stück als direkte Erweiterung von „Upgrade Your DNA“ existieren musste?
Samaistha: Das wurde mir erst nach der Fertigstellung bewusst. Mein Freund Steven hat mich darauf hingewiesen, dass der Track wie eine Fortsetzung wirkt. In dem Moment habe ich die Verbindung sofort gespürt. Da ich intuitiv arbeite, entstehen solche Zusammenhänge oft erst im Nachhinein.
Faithfulness: Während „Upgrade Your DNA“ Bewegung auslöst, konzentriert sich dieses neue Werk auf Integration. Wie sind Sie an die konzeptionelle Umsetzung in Klang herangegangen?
Samaistha: Ich beginne meist mit einem inneren Zustand oder Gefühl. Daraus entwickeln sich Klanglandschaften, die sich schrittweise entfalten – mal ruhig, mal rhythmischer, getragen von Flächen, Stimmen und organischen Strukturen.
Faithfulness: An einer Stelle des Stücks scheinen Wahrnehmung, Bewusstsein und Empfindung zu einem einzigen Bereich zu verschmelzen. Woran haben Sie beim Komponieren des Tracks erkannt, dass Sie diese Balance erreicht hatten?
Samaistha: Ich arbeite stark über Details. Das große Ganze ergibt sich erst mit der Zeit. Durch das Übereinanderschichten mehrerer Flächen entstehen diese Momente, in denen Wahrnehmung und Empfindung miteinander verschmelzen.
Faithfulness: Die Struktur wirkt minimalistisch und dennoch tiefgründig, fast tranceartig, ohne dabei erdrückend zu sein. Welche Rolle spielt Zurückhaltung in Ihrem Kompositionsprozess?
Samaistha: Zurückhaltung ist essenziell. Jeder Klang braucht seinen eigenen Raum. Die Herausforderung besteht darin, nicht zu viel zu wollen. Dabei entsteht oft ein innerer Konflikt zwischen Intuition und Verstand. Wenn der Verstand zu dominant wird, ziehe ich mich bewusst zurück und finde wieder in die Ruhe.
Faithfulness: Ambient-Musik tritt oft in den Hintergrund, doch dieses Stück scheint sich dem zu widersetzen. Wollten Sie die Art und Weise, wie Hörer mit Ambient-Sound umgehen, bewusst herausfordern?
Samaistha: Ja, bewusst. Ich möchte, dass etwas passiert, wenn man meine Musik hört. Eine Hörerin hat mir einmal gesagt, dass sie unruhig wurde und den Track stoppen musste. Für mich ist das kein negatives Feedback – im Gegenteil. Es zeigt, dass etwas in Bewegung kommt.
Faithfulness: Der Titel selbst deutet auf einen Verschmelzungspunkt zwischen innerer und äußerer Erfahrung hin. Entstand der Titel vor der Komposition oder aus dem, was Sie gehört haben?
Samaistha: Die Titel entstehen meist erst nach der Musik. Manchmal nutze ich auch KI, indem ich meine Empfindungen beschreibe und Vorschläge erhalte. Dieser Prozess ist teilweise überraschend – und manchmal auch irritierend.
Faithfulness: Man hat den Eindruck, dass diese Veröffentlichung die Hörer durch einen Prozess führt, anstatt ein festgelegtes Ergebnis zu liefern. Wie wichtig ist die aktive Beteiligung der Hörer für das Hörerlebnis?
Samaistha: Das liegt letztlich beim Hörer. Ich öffne einen Raum, aber wie dieser erlebt wird, kann ich nicht steuern.
Faithfulness: Sie haben eine zusammenhängende Entwicklung zwischen den Werken geschaffen, anstatt isolierte Tracks. Wie weit im Voraus denken Sie bei der Gestaltung dieser größeren Klangerzählung?
Samaistha: Ich lebe und arbeite konsequent im Jetzt. Meine Musik entsteht nicht aus Planung, sondern aus dem Moment. Deshalb denke ich nicht in langfristigen Konzepten oder festen Erzählstrukturen. Das ist im Alltag nicht immer einfach – besonders für meine Partnerin Manuela. Aber genau dieses Loslassen ist ein zentraler Teil meines kreativen Prozesses. Ich lasse Dinge entstehen, anstatt sie zu erzwingen
Faithfulness: Was erhoffen Sie sich, dass die Hörer von „Where The Senses Meet“ mitnehmen, wenn sie sich voll und ganz darauf einlassen?
Samaistha: Ein Gefühl von Klarheit, innerem Frieden und bewusster Wahrnehmung – sowie eine kurze Distanz zum äußeren Lärm.
Faithfulness: Was können wir von der nächsten Phase Ihrer musikalischen Erkundung erwarten, wenn sich diese Reise über diese Veröffentlichung hinaus fortsetzt?
Samaistha: Weitere innere Reisen – mit viel Raum für eigene Wahrnehmung und Momente der Stille.

Faithfulness: Your work consistently positions music as an experience rather than just sound. At what point did you begin to see your art in that way, and how did that shift shape your identity as Samaistha?
Samaistha: From the very beginning, this was my intention. Through many meditation experiences, I realized how deeply sounds, voices, and textures can influence emotions and inner processes. This has shaped me – and it’s exactly what I want to evoke in the listener.
Faithfulness: You describe your sound as meditative and repetitive, guiding listeners into conscious awareness. What first drew you to this intersection between sound and inner experience?
Samaistha: We live in a fast-paced world where very little leaves a lasting impact. That’s why it’s essential to consciously take time to turn inward. That’s where the real answers lie. My music is meant to support that process.
Faithfulness: Your music avoids trends and algorithm-driven structures. How intentional was that decision early on, and what has it required from you creatively to maintain that path?
Samaistha: This is closely connected to my intuitive way of composing. I don’t follow traditional song structures like verse or chorus. Instead, I enter a meditative state and observe what unfolds within me. I’m aware that this approach reaches fewer people – but it reaches them more deeply.
Faithfulness: There’s a strong sense of purpose in how you frame your work as a “space” rather than background music. How do you personally define that space when you’re creating?
Samaistha: This “space” emerges through the meditative state while composing. The more inner silence I allow, the more space can open up. Music driven by hooks often creates short-lived reactions. My music, on the other hand, slowly opens an inner space where the listener can remain.
Faithfulness: Being based in Aargau, Switzerland, has your environment influenced the stillness and depth present in your sound, or is that something entirely internal?
Samaistha: My location doesn’t have much influence on that. I live in a residential area, but nature is close by. What truly matters is my inner drive for silence and balance.
Faithfulness: “Where The Senses Meet” feels like a continuation rather than a standalone release. At what moment did you realize this piece needed to exist as a direct extension of “Upgrade Your DNA”?
Samaistha: I only realized this after finishing the track. My friend Steven pointed out that it felt like a continuation. The moment he said it, I immediately felt the connection. Since I compose intuitively, these links often reveal themselves afterward.
Faithfulness: If “Upgrade Your DNA” initiates movement, this new work leans into integration. How did you approach translating that shift conceptually into sound?
Samaistha: I usually begin with a feeling or inner state. From there, soundscapes evolve gradually – sometimes calm, sometimes more rhythmic, often shaped by textures, voices, and organic elements.
Faithfulness: There’s a point in the piece where perception, awareness, and sensation seem to blur into one field. When you were building the track, how did you know you had reached that balance?
Samaistha: I focus a lot on subtle details. The bigger picture forms over time. By layering multiple textures, these moments of fusion between perception and sensation naturally emerge.
Faithfulness: The structure feels minimal yet deeply immersive, almost trance-like without being overwhelming. What role does restraint play in your composition process here?
Samaistha: Restraint is essential. Every sound needs its own space. The challenge is not to overdo things. There is often an inner tension between intuition and the analytical mind. When the mind becomes too dominant, I step away and return to stillness.
Faithfulness: Ambient music often fades into the background, but this piece seems to resist that. Was your intention to actively challenge how listeners engage with ambient sound?
Samaistha: Yes, intentionally. I want something to happen when people listen. Someone once told me my music made them feel unsettled, and they had to stop listening. I see that as meaningful feedback – it shows that something is being triggered.
Faithfulness: The title itself suggests a merging point between internal and external experience. Did the title come before the composition, or did it emerge from what you were hearing?
Samaistha: Titles usually come after the music is finished. Sometimes I use AI by describing my feelings and receiving suggestions. That process can be surprisingly accurate – and occasionally unsettling.
Faithfulness: There’s a sense that this release is guiding listeners through a process rather than delivering a fixed outcome. How important is listener participation in completing the experience?
Samaistha: That’s up to the listener. I open a space, but how it is experienced is beyond my control.
Faithfulness: You’ve built a connected progression between works rather than isolated tracks. How far ahead are you thinking when constructing this larger sonic narrative?
Samaistha: I live and work fully in the present moment. My music doesn’t come from planning, but from what unfolds right now. That’s why I don’t think in long-term concepts or fixed narrative structures.
This isn’t always easy in everyday life – especially for my partner Manuela. But letting go of control is an essential part of my creative process. I allow things to emerge rather than forcing them.
Faithfulness: When listeners fully engage with “Where The Senses Meet,” what do you hope stays with them after the experience ends?
Samaistha: A sense of clarity, inner peace, and awareness – and a brief distance from external noise.
Faithfulness: As this journey continues to unfold beyond this release, what can we expect from the next phase of your exploration?
Samaistha: More inner journeys – with space for personal perception and moments of stillness.
