Released on 4th September 2026, ERICKOSCAR’s “Live, Learn, and Love Without Regrets” is a deeply personal album built around faith, reflection, and the courage to embrace life without being controlled by regret. The project grew from a prayer Erick wrote seven years ago, which has remained a lifelong and daily prayer for him. That personal connection gives the album an intimate foundation, as its central message is not presented as an abstract idea but as something the artist actively carries into his own life. He listens to the title song every morning because it helps him keep his bearings straight, and that sincerity can be felt throughout the project. The songs approach life with openness, encouraging listeners to learn from their experiences, love wholeheartedly, maintain hope, and continue moving forward through difficult seasons.
The album’s emotional strength comes from Erick’s commitment to songwriting that communicates something meaningful. Rather than allowing genre to dictate his creative direction, he writes from a feeling and lets the musical style follow. His sound draws from pop, ballads, and Latin influences, creating room for different textures while keeping the songwriting at the center. His acoustic guitar background is particularly important to the character of the music, bringing an organic quality to his compositions. Vocals and instrumentation work together to support the emotional themes, while the arrangements give the songs enough space to communicate their messages clearly. There is also a strong spiritual dimension to the project, with faith and perseverance appearing as sources of strength when circumstances become uncertain. This makes the album feel encouraging without losing the vulnerability that comes from addressing real human struggles.

Live, Learn, and Love Without Regrets Album Track Reviews:
Live, Learn, and Love Without Regrets:
“Live, Learn, and Love Without Regrets” opens the album with a warm, organic acoustic sound that immediately establishes its reflective spirit. An intricate fingerpicked steel-string guitar pattern leads the arrangement, joined by subtle shaker rhythms and a light, heartbeat-like kick that create gentle movement. A rounded bassline anchors the lower frequencies naturally, while soft ambient strings enter around the chorus transitions, adding emotional depth without overwhelming the acoustic foundation. ErickOscar’s vocal delivery brings further intimacy to the track. His textured, raspy lower register gives the verses a conversational and vulnerable quality, reflecting the lived experience behind the song’s message. As the chorus arrives, his voice rises into an earnest mid-range belt, supported by sustained vowel holds and subtle dynamic swells. Double-recorded harmonies widen the chorus, creating the feeling of a communal gathering song. Altogether, the arrangement and heartfelt performance make the track a sincere reflection on embracing life with clarity, faith, peace, and purpose.
Even If I Forget:
“Even If I Forget” stands as a quiet and contemplative moment, using simplicity to create an intimate emotional atmosphere. The track is built around delicate nylon-string guitar arpeggios, with the instrument’s natural resonance and subtle fretboard sounds adding an organic warmth. A gentle acoustic piano enters during the second verse, while sustained cello provides understated depth underneath the arrangement. Soft rim shots and brushed snare work keep the rhythm restrained, allowing the instrumentation to breathe. ErickOscar’s vocal performance brings the song’s reflective character into sharper focus. His close-miked, breathy delivery captures subtle breaths and delicate vocal inflections, creating the feeling of a personal conversation or prayer. Gentle pitch transitions and carefully controlled dynamics allow his voice to soften naturally at phrase endings. Sparse backing harmonies appear on selected lines, adding warmth without overwhelming the lead. Together, the understated production and vulnerable vocal approach make “Even If I Forget” a tender, peaceful, and deeply intimate listening experience.
Te Voy a Tirar La Chancleta:
“Te Voy a Tirar La Chancleta” brings a vibrant Latin energy to the album, introducing playful theatricality and a distinctly festive character. The track opens with energetic nylon-string acoustic guitar rasgueado, immediately establishing its lively rhythmic foundation. Brisk bongos, handclaps, and shakers drive the percussion, while a buoyant walking bassline keeps the groove moving with an inviting danceability. Bright brass accents add further excitement, punctuating the arrangement with colorful touches that give the song a lighthearted Latin pop feel. ErickOscar responds with an animated vocal performance, moving confidently away from the reflective delivery heard elsewhere. His punchy, syncopated phrasing sits naturally within the rhythm, while spoken-word humor, melodic Spanish cadences, and playful ad-libs add personality. The call-and-response chorus vocals create a communal atmosphere, making the track feel celebratory and engaging. Through its rhythmic instrumentation, spirited vocals, and Spanish-language expression, “Te Voy a Tirar La Chancleta” showcases ErickOscar’s Panamanian heritage while highlighting his versatility as a songwriter and performer.
Mas De Lo Que Tu Crees (Bachata):
“Mas De Lo Que Tu Crees (Bachata)” closes the album with a captivating transformation of the core composition into an authentic Dominican Bachata setting. The requinto takes center stage, weaving bright, intricate high-register arpeggios and rhythmic flourishes through the arrangement. Crisp bongo slaps and the persistent metallic scrape of the güira establish the traditional Bachata groove, while a warm, sliding electric bassline anchors the syncopated rhythm with a smooth, danceable swing. ErickOscar adapts his soulful vocal approach beautifully to the romantic Latin character of the track. His warm, resonant tone moves gracefully through gentle vocal glides, while emotional vibrato at the ends of key phrases adds expressive depth. He maintains impressive pitch precision without losing the tenderness of his delivery. Rich chorus harmonies further strengthen the vocal arrangement, creating a fuller and more immersive sound. As the album’s closing track, “Mas De Lo Que Tu Crees (Bachata)” provides a vibrant conclusion, bringing together ErickOscar’s heartfelt songwriting, Latin heritage, and genre versatility in an engaging final statement.
A particularly meaningful aspect of the project is its exploration of uncertainty, perseverance, and the desire to keep living with a positive and determined spirit. The title song addresses the frustration experienced when someone dealing with illness cannot receive the answers they need from doctors, while also emphasizing the importance of maintaining a strong attitude and continuing to push through challenges. Across the album, Erick transforms difficult emotions into music that seeks to reassure and inspire. His approach is strengthened by a lifetime of musical experience. He has played acoustic guitar with his church worship band for more than 35 years and has written more than 1,200 songs, demonstrating a remarkable dedication to songwriting. His father, who was a singer, also introduced him to love songs and ballads during childhood, helping establish the emotional connection to music that remains central to his work.
